$1000 will provide groceries for one month for one client and her children
$2000 will provide shared housing for approximately two months
$3000 will provide childcare assistance for one child for three months
$5000 will provide one semester of education at a community college
$7000 will provide purchase of a used car, or reduced cost legal services
